Pune - The City of Forts

It is quite debatable whether any other state in the country has as many forts as Maharashtra does. Shivaji our very own Robin hood,a master of guerilla warfare and the kingpin of the Maratha empire was responsible for these forts and ruled most of them. Today these forts stand tall and reminds us of the die hard spirit of the men who walked those trails and the spirit of freedom

Many of these forts are in ruins but a trekk up any of them is worth the effort. Most of the forts have water sources inside the fort and provide an ideal trek and camp adventure avenue.
